The site already has student members from more than 80 colleges across the country. In one month, over 1,400 reviews of teachers have been posted.

The reviews, accompanied by ratings on an “egg scale” — a broken egg for an unfavourable review — range from adulatory to scathing, and are often edited, with words like “idiot” and “fool” replaced with asterisks.

The objective is to ensure a platform for Indian students to review, and thus influence, their teachers and the entire educational system in the process.
